Accounting Policy Director

A financial services company located in New Jersey is actively seeking a driven and analytical professional to join their staff as their new Accounting Policy Director. In this role, the Accounting Policy Director will be responsible for providing advice and issuing policy guidelines on technical accounting issues.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Policy Director will:

• Prepare or review and update US GAAP & IFRS accounting policies
• Assist with Transaction Review and Accounting Analysis
• Support Emerging Guidance tracking, implementation, and presentation
• Perform accounting research
• Provide financial statement review
• Attend industry meetings / conferences
• Lead discussion on accounting policy related matters on new products and complex transactions

• Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years of related experience
• CPA, CA, or parts passed
• Demonstrated GAAP knowledge
• Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
