The Account Executive will develop and maintain favorable relationships with insurance brokers and clients in order to promote products, increase revenue, and meet sales targets. Collaborates on selling strategy on a case-by-case basis in conjunction with underwriting, provider relations, and other internal teams. Assists in the development of a solid pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through customer contact and prospecting.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Sales of dental, vision and life products and services in a specified geographic area
- Develops annual business plan in conjunction with the Vice President, Business Development, which details activities to follow during the year, which will focus the sales representative on meeting or exceeding sales quota
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers
- Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues
- Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, agents, brokers, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking
- Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of Microsoft Outlook to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge. Plans and prioritizes personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving all new business goals. Time management and planning skills are crucial in this position

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience in the Benefits industry
- Solid understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Proven ability to achieve sales quotas
- Established and verifiable sales record
- Willingness to travel

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
- Dental insurance experience
- Established Broker relationships
