We're hiring for an Agronomy Operations Manager to execute the agronomic program for all fields in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and North Carolina. You would be ensuring quality crops and an efficiently lead agronomy department. You would coordinate all fertigation and spray programs working with ag retails and vendors to complete. You would lead the field scouts and an assistant who assists with documentation and compliance tracking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong relationship with the CEO, Operations Manager, and Subsidiary Farm Managers. Establish an effective, periodic communication plan with management and subordinates.
- Promote agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.
- Ensure testing of soil and petiole samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes.
- Maintain detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples.
- Generate reports and present findings to management.
- Develop planting, fertigation and irrigation schedules, and timelines.
- Develop and implement programs addressing agronomic issues including integrated pest management (IPM), crop input requirements and timely field inspection programs. Provide pesticide and agronomic recommendations to optimize quality and yield.
- Work with and provide support to Production Agronomists in all production areas by providing timely field visits throughout the production season.
- General administrative management duties including securing products, signing vendor contracts, collecting & preparing & inputting data for GAAP requirements.
- Supervise employees and third-party personnel as required including Production Agronomist, Crop Scouts, third party scouting firms and chemical/fertilizer application contractors.
