Position: Bilingual Staff Clinician II

Classification: Full-time, Exempt

Reports to: Program Coordinator

Location: Houston, TX (Memorial Drive)

Position Description:

DePelchin has openings for recent grads who are interested in receiving a broad range of experience, working with youth between the ages of 3-17 and their families in the FAYS (Family and Youth Success) Program. The Staff Clinician in this program will engage families in everything from teaching coping and social skills, to working with youth who are managing mental health concerns such as depression or anxiety, or even youth needing general support as they navigate life. This can also be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in exploring a career in private practice, as the FAYS program teaches strong documentation skills and is committed to training all team members to feel confident in their clinical skills. Staff Clinicians in the FAYS program can receive free in-house clinical supervision for those pursuing their clinical license. The FAYS program has a strong team dynamic and believe in teaching and encourage learning and growth.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Master's in Social Work or related Human Services field.
  • Fluent in Spanish. English required.
  • LMSW, temporary LPC or temporary LMFT; or be in the process of applying for an LPC or LMFT temporary license; or be eligible to take the state certification test at the social worker level.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and accepted therapy and counseling treatment models.
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.

Experienced/Skills Preferred:

  • One (1) year experience in case management, crisis intervention, or child welfare.
