Groundskeeper
Full Time: 40 hours/week
Salary: $15.00 – $17.00/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, overtime and on-call as necessary
Reports to: Property Manager
General Description
Levco Management is seeking a groundskeeper to maintain a property located in Chesterfield, VA in a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing manner. This position is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ general labor experience
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Desire to train, learn, and develop maintenance skills
- Requires lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds when lifting trash bags and grounds-keeping equipment as well as when assisting maintenance personnel with essential maintenance tasks.
- Position requires frequent bending and/or stooping when removing debris and trash from property grounds and performing other grounds-keeping and maintenance tasks. Also requires use of ladders and stepladders to access equipment and when assisting maintenance personnel with essential maintenance tasks.
- The position requires the ability to work outdoors in temperatures exceeding 90 degrees or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and the ability to personally perform general grounds keeping and maintenance tasks without endangering themselves, residents, and other employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist with apartment turnovers
- General grounds on a daily basis
- Assist with work orders
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs
- Completing thorough inspections of the common areas on a regular basis
- Any other duties your supervisor assigns to you
Licenses/Equipment
• Must have reliable transportation
• Position requires employee to be able to use general cleaning equipment and tools included but not limited to hand tools, paint equipment, ladders, cleaning chemicals, vacuums, blowers and hoses.
-The Groundskeeper is one of the key team members with a primary objective for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the communities. This is achieved through providing necessary maintenance needs to the units as well as the overall property safety and aesthetics.
-Successful candidates must be able to pass a background check
