The Broker and Employer Portal Operations team works with various stakeholders within UHC and Optum (Product, Technology and Technology Support) to support the Broker & Employer portal to ensure a stable and high-quality end to end digital experience for our brokers and employers.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct usability studies on portal functionality with internal and external constituents
  • Document usability feedback and use it to inform portal UI enhancements
  • Proactively identify sub optimal user experiences and subsequent options to address
  • Defining and managing user experience success metrics
  • Become subject matter expert on all user feedback channels and data and drive opportunities to increase feedback.
  • Provide reporting around user feedback, KPI indicators, outlining trends and efforts to influence them in a positive direction
  • Conduct competitor market scans in the Broker & Employer digital space and provide where we stand at a functionality and experience level
  • Focus on both strategic and tactical aspects of the portal while advocating for an overall strategic vision.
  • Make recommendations to product managers, development teams and designers based upon user feedback cycles
  • Create and maintain a user journey and persona library

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of professional experience
  • 2+ years of end user/customer journey and/or UX/UI systems and design experience
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing usability studies with external audiences
  • Experience with the creation of ad hoc reporting
  • Testing experience for both production defect resolution and release check out testing
  • Intermediate PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • Results-oriented individual with solid influencing, problem solving and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Human Centered Design principals and best practices, design, user behavior and interaction models
  • Experience with conducting usability testing, research/analytics, and development concepts
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics, Qualtrics, iPerceptions, Google Analytics, or SEO
  • Product Management experience
  • Reporting and Analytics proficiency
  • Proven ability to absorb and make sense of large amounts of data to direct decision making
  • Proven ability to effectively drive results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with a high degree of organizational change, growth, and ambiguity
  • Ability to turn complicated inputs into a clear, communicable vision
  • Results-oriented individual with solid influencing, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
