Mortgage Loan Consultant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented mortgage broker to round out our well-established lending team. The successful applicant will have 5 years of experience with mortgage lending or origination and a proven track record of making matches between various lenders and borrowers. $80,000 - $120,00 at plan

Responsibilities:

• Proactively stay abreast of mortgage industry trends and lending rate sheets; maintain strong relationships with mortgage lending sources / mortgage bankers, and establish referral relationships with real estate professionals
• Explain varying loan products, buying or refinance process, and lending guidelines to applicants
• Collaborate with the real estate agent, lender’s underwriting department, other mortgage professionals, and closing agent to ensure a smooth transaction
• Research competitive mortgage rates and interest rates, and negotiate terms to find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers
• Gather documents such as applicant’s credit history, income and employment verification, assets and liabilities, and background check to determine creditworthiness

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with MS office and loan origination software
• Independently resourceful mindset with excellent communications, analysis, and time-management skills
• Must possess mortgage loan origination or loan officer experience: 5 years
• Knowledge of loan process from origination to close and various loan products is needed

• Lending experience
• Brokers license or willingness to obtain one
