The Vascular Technologist performs clinical patient assessment and diagnostic vascular examinations, including: extracranial cerebral, peripheral venous and arterial, and abdominal studies. Uses independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to provide high quality diagnostic information following appropriate protocols, recognizing abnormalities, and adjusting procedure when clinically necessary. Consults with referring MD and/or patient chart to assure appropriate lab procedure.
Qualifications
Active licensure with the ARDMS, as a registered vascular technologist is required. Associate’s degree preferred, in Health Care preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in health related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years in Vascular testing with hospital based experience preferred.
Experience in a high volume hospital setting is beneficial.
