Production Coordinator - Elkhart, IN
Job Purpose
Provides exceptional customer service and responsiveness.
Performs the functions of supervising the production and/or administrative activities in the business unit. Participates in scheduling/reporting of production and ensures adherence to production schedule.
Essential Functions
• Performs other specialized roles of only moderate complexity, such as Manufacturing, Process, and/or Quality Engineer.
• Responsible for communicating to customers on order status
• Responsible for assigning and coordinating work assignments in a manufacturing and/or administrative department
• Ensures the production process flows without problems
• Maintains Finished Goods and Raw Materials inventory and reconciliations.
• Responsible for Raw Material (Paper, Glue, etc.) Purchases.
• Prepares and submits Monthly reports to Plant Manager and Corporate Finance.
• May supervise and train hourly employees
• May prepare daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, and overtime and downtime reports
• Maintain log of shift operations
• All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• In-Depth Knowledge of manufacturing process and improvement process
• Ability to effectively implement change
• Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental rules, laws, requirements.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Effective leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively manage time and resources
• Ability to effectively implement change
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Must be computer literate with experience in word and excel
• Strong Leadership skills with a desire to move up in the organization
• Ability to communicate through written and spoken English
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
Experience
• 3-4 years of manufacturing experience
• OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
