Registered Nurse (RN)
A New York City-based health services organization is looking to add a new, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff at one of their group home's in Brooklyn. In this role, the Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing primary care the group home's developmentally disabled population, including individuals who are medically or physically disabled as well as some who are confined to wheelchairs.
Responsibilities:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for:
- Assessing individuals needs, progress and providing nursing care
- Developing plan of care for individualized diagnosis
- Providing comprehensive documentation
- Coordinating and overseeing the scheduling of medical and health appointments
- Monitoring medication requirements
- Attending interdisciplinary team meetings and completing a comprehensive nursing review
- Providing nursing telephone or in-person triage for various residences, as needed
- Attending all mandatory trainings such as EHR, Diabetic train-the-trainer, Fire Safety and PRAISE
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- ???????NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR certification
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
