Konik is partnering with a large organization to add an Electrical Engineer to effectively contribute to policy deployment and enterprise key initiatives within the Electrical Engineering team. This will be done through playing the key technical role in safety assessments, projects/assignments, and leading large-scale projects/assignments with a focus on continuous improvement, improving customer satisfaction, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new and existing equipment acceptance plans.
- Electrical project management working with delivery partners to assure specifications and code requirements are followed.
- Design the power and control wiring of industrial automation equipment.
- Assess current vs. future electrical technology capabilities and investigate and suggest technology changes.
- Support electrical safety in the plant, arc flash protection and calculations, electrical distribution requirements and coordination.
- Develop electrical print packages, programs, and layouts.
- Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles.
- Project management skills; deliver safe, effective, sustainable, and reliable solutions (project planning, approval process, equipment specification, budget, preventative maintenance, acceptance plans, design review, safety assessments, capital request).
- Participative team approach to problem solving and root cause analysis with associates, supervisors, maintenance, Value Stream Managers, and peers.
- Interface with Advanced Design, Product Engineering, and other business partners on the design for manufacturability, process capability, and production builds of new product or product revisions.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology
- 3-10 years engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of PLC's, HMI's, drives, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of servo motion control; design, troubleshooting, and program requirements.
- Experience with AutoCAD skills.
- Strong mechanical background
