Job Summary
Indiana University East, Richmond, IN, invites applications for a part-time Chef Corner lead to work in the fast-paced food service area.
General Responsibilities
- Works with the Food Service Director and Kitchen Supervisor to set up Chef's Corner daily which includes preparations and serving of the food items.
- Completes tasks while following all food handling practices to ensure safe product.
- Cooks all food for catering events.
- Accurately and efficiently follows standardized recipes for menu items.
- Washes and cleans equipment and preparation areas while maintaining the highest possible standards of sanitation is needed.
- Operates all food preparation equipment in a safe manner.
- Works in team environment and performs work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Performs other related work, as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or GED
Required
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check
- Demonstrates dependability, strong work ethic, and good customer service skills
- Strong time-management skills; flexibility while working in a fast-paced environment
- Understands and follows oral and written instructions
