What you will do...
Develop applications on Confluent Kafka Platform.
Deploy, augment, and upgrade Kafka clusters.
Act as a trusted advisor in helping customer navigate through solving complex data science process problems.
Drive innovation on the Confluent Platform alongside the Confluent engineering team.
Test performance & functionality of new components developed by engineering teams.
Stay up to date with best practices and components required for contract and customer needs.
Provide Knowledge Management to the customer.
Experience you will bring...
Deep understanding of enterprise networking & security standards (802.x, SDWAN, VRF, Subnets and Supernets, Intranets).
Working knowledge of data delivery systems such as Syslog and HTTP/S protocols.
Excelled experience in Linux Systems (RedHat & Debian-based distributions).
Familiarity in distributed systems (Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra).
Proficiency in either Python or JavaScript.
Excellent communication skills; Ability to clearly and concisely explain challenging issues. and complex solutions.
CompTIA Security+ Certification, within 60 days of onboarding.
Stand out with experience in...
Amazon Web Services, Azure, and/or GCP.
Ansible, Kubernetes, or Docker.
Building and operating in-production Big Data, stream processing, and/or enterprise data integration solutions using Apache Kafka.
One of the following configuration management tools: Ansible, Teraform, Puppet, Chef.
Writing to network-based APIs (preferably REST/JSON or XML/SOAP).
Enterprise security practices and solutions, such as LDAP and/or Kerberos.
