Manufacturing Machine Operator

Express Employment Professionals is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find local people. We are currently staffing for manufacturer located in Grand Junction, CO. We are immediately seeking a swing shift Production I Operator.

5 days per week 2:00pm - 10:00pm $18.70/hr

* Assignment is an evaluation hire, likely to hire on with company after 3 month evaluation period

Responsible for performing processes relating to the manufacture of high quality technical ceramic and metallic products following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform various production processes to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; contacts appropriate person when issues arise
• Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications, reports parts that are not to customer/quality standards to appropriate person
• Loads, unloads and stacks product; transports product via hand-truck, pallet jack or cart
• Cleans work area, machines, tools and equipment
• Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory

Job Requirements:

Experience:

• Manufacturing knowledge preferred, no experience necessary

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction)
• Basic data entry; product received at work station, product moved to next department (less damaged or defective)
• Ability to identify bad product from good
• Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
• Must be able to stand throughout shift
• Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
