This role is best suited for project candidates capable of contributing independently, as well as take on the responsibilities of a manager? As the Project Manager, your insight of accounting functions and systems will be extremely worthwhile. You will aid the work load of Business Analysts creating requirements documentation and developing new methods of data mapping to accounting systems for the most efficient accounting and reporting of transactions. The Project Manager will have additional assignments with the accounting leadership team and other key participants in the accounting process, ensuring that their input and feedback is incorporated into key initiatives. Your responsibilities
- Interacts with business users to clearly describe and analyze business requirements
- Coordinates priorities of concurrent project and support assignments, in addition to meeting stakeholder expectations
- Communicates with the development team to describe business requirements and business process design
- Creates and works on work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports, issue management and risk mitigation
- Develops appropriate governance approaches for the projects to ensure constant and effective communication as well as issue resolution
- Develops and manages project sponsor expectations, understands business drivers and, when required, requests changes to project scope, timing, or resources to make sure strategic solutions are delivered
- Previous experience in a key role in an accounting function preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management (PMP) Certification ( preferred)
- Having a Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification is a bonus
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience- Use your discretion and act on it
- Capable of responding both orally and in writing to executive management, team members, business and technology
- Solid understanding of project management
- Complex problem solving skills are a must. Candidate must be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction
- Skills in business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development
- It's required that candidates have knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications
- Demonstrated success acting in a project management capacity
