Temporary Position
General Purpose:
Under direct supervision provides quality maintenance services. Assists in the maintenance and repair of the physical plant and grounds, equipment and various building systems. Provides a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.
Qualifications:
• Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.
• Ability to perform, and working knowledge of, routine plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry and grounds keeping tasks including painting, wallpapering, and shoveling snow.
• Valid drivers’ license and safe driving record.
• Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.
